Kris Bryant was doing that thing again on Sunday where he proves to us that he’s really, really good with a bat in his hands
By now we’ve all sort of figured out that Chicago Cubs rookie Kris Bryant is definitely not a bust. Well, at least for this year he isn’t. This kid came into 2015 with all the hype in the world, and so far, he’s done more than live up to his end of the bargain. He’s given us some moments that just leave us in awe.
On Sunday, he was at it again, and it may have been his best performance yet.
With the Cubs taking on the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday, Bryant was at the plate in the bottom of the fifth inning with Chicago down 1-0. On an 0-2 pitch, Bryant proceeded to send the ball to deep left field for the solo shot and the tie.
Just how deep did the ball go, though? Well, far enough that it smashed off the scoreboard.
Yeah, he’s good.
This was a 467-foot shot, the longest home run for a Cub since 2013.

Now, if you really want to blow your own mind, sit there and wonder just how far this ball would have gone if the scoreboard wasn’t there.
