White Sox pitcher John Danks made a rather unfortunate bet last weekend and on Friday he paid the price for it

You know, sometimes in life you have to learn the hard lessons when it comes to gambling. You especially have the learn the hard lessons when you make a bet that you probably shouldn’t have made in the first place to begin with. Chicago White Sox pitcher John Danks certainly learned a lesson on Friday.

Last weekend the college football season opened up and one of the games we were treated to featured the Notre Dame Fighting Irish taking on the Texas Longhorns. Well, Danks made a bet with White Sox commentator Ed Farmer, where he believed Texas would come out victorious. As we found out, that was not nearly the case as Notre Dame just blasted Texas, 38-3.

So, since he was the loser of the friendly wager, prior to the team’s game against the Twins on Friday, Danks went through warmups on the field dressed as a leprechaun.

Yep, that happened. But really, come on, none of us really expected Texas to pull through with the win.
