After taking a look at the situation, the NFL has determined that the Patriots did nothing wrong on Thursday night

Following an entire off-season where all we had to hear about was the New England Patriots and Deflategate, it didn’t take long in the 2015 NFL regular season for the Patriots to be in the headlines again for possible cheating. During the first half of the opener on Thursday night, the Steelers coaching staff was having some issues with their headsets. As head coach Mike Tomlin explained, instead of their headsets working properly, all they were treated to was the feed of the Patriots.

Of course, people were very quick to point to the Patriots and possible cheating, although the NFL will not be one of those folks. Actually, they’ve already taken a look at the situation and the Pats are in the clear.

In a statement released on Friday, the league attributed the Steelers having issues with their headsets to an electrical issue that was only magnified by the bad weather taking place in Foxboro on Thursday night.

"“Based on our review to date, we believe that the audio interference on Steelers’ headsets last night was entirely attributable to an electrical issue made worse by the inclement weather; that it involved no manipulation by any individual; and that the Patriots had nothing to do with it,” the league’s statement said."

You had to have known that the NFL was going to get to the bottom of this pretty quickly. With all the negative publicity that was brought upon them because of the Patriots and Deflategate, they were going to put this one to bed pretty quickly.

Not to mention, they’re probably correct. There’s no way that after all they’ve been accused of, the Patriots would cheat right off the bat in 2015 — right?
