Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers makes a crazy play when he flips the ball to running back Aaron Rodgers.
As a football player, getting creative can either pay off and create memorable moments or create a disaster. Given how talented Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, it tends to be the more breathtaking and incredible variety.
Against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Rodgers was struggling to find an open receiver as the pocket collapsed around him. Rodgers turned to his left to find a Bears linebacker bearing down on him for the would-be sack. That’s when Rodgers threw a little shovel pass and flipped the ball out to running back Eddie Lacy.
Lacy then took the ball all the way to the first down marker, an incredible change of fortunes on a second-and-8 situation that looked like it would result in a loss of yards.
If the Packers can keep drumming up magic to create plays like that and escape dangerous situations, it could be a potentially rewarding season that could see the Packers return to the Super Bowl.
With wide receiver Jordy Nelson out for the season, the Packers could need a little bit of magic.
