Despite the two sides never really seeing eye-to-eye with one another, the Yankees did find a way to honor Alex Rodriguez for his 3,000th hit
Heading into this Major League Baseball season, a lot of the talk surrounded how exactly the New York Yankees would handle Alex Rodriguez reaching some of his milestones. With the two parties on opposite sides of the fence since Rodriguez was suspended an entire season for PED usage, it was definitely a touchy situation.
As we’d come to find out, Rodriguez was ready to hit this return season with full force and that resulted in getting his 3,000th hit this summer as the Yankees make a push for the playoffs.
While A-Rod didn’t get the $6 million yet that he was supposed to earn, on Sunday the Yankees did at least give him something to commemorate the occasion. In a ceremony that took place on the field, the team gave Rodriguez a nice piece of bling for his efforts.
Here’s a closer look at what we’re dealing with here.

Well, it’s not $6 million, but it’s still a pretty nice gesture by the team nonetheless.
