Blake Bortles has thrown a pick-six — which means the NFL season can officially begin.
The Jacksonville Jaguars aren’t the worst franchise in the NFL, but they’re so middle of the road that it’s starting to look like the Blake Bortles era won’t be the one to drag the team out of mediocrity.
We saw more examples of that on Sunday in Week 1, as Bortles showed some spunk early on but also showed plenty of cracks in the dam as well. One of the biggest cracks was a late game pick-six that fully turned the game around in Carolina’s favor when it was, at the time, a one-point game.
What’s an NFL Sunday without a Blake Bortles pick-six though?
Bottles might end up being an alright quarterback, but he’s going to have his moments where he looks like a typical Jaguars dud. That’s just the way things work in Jacksonville, and while Bortles has shown flashes of being a franchise quarterback, no one is immune to the much-hated pick-six.
