DeSean Jackson pulled up lame in the season’s opener.

The Washington Redskins can’t catch a break. In the early goings of Sunday’s season-opener against Miami, DeSean Jackson pulled up lame on a deep route. According to Ian Rapoport, Jackson grabbed his hamstring after going for the ball.

Trainers (and third string quarterback RG3) have attended Jackson on the sidelines. After originally being listed as questionable, the team announced Jackson was ruled “out” and would not return.

Jackson’s injury is another body blow to a team that started going off the rails before the season even began. Between the never-ending RG3 saga and Jay Gruden’s battles with the media, it has been an ugly offseason for the Redskins. With one of the team’s star receivers down, current starting QB Kirk Cousins now finds himself without another weapon. Second-year wideout Ryan Grant sits behind Jackson on the team’s depth chart.
