Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade is cheering on the New York Jets in a Brandon Marshall jersey.
There is a very unrealistic expectations that athletes playing professional sports in certain cities will then support every team in that city. Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James has caught some heat for supporting the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys for example.
Well Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade is going to be upsetting some Miami Dolphins fans on Sunday. Wade is in New York to support the Jets in a Brandon Marshall jersey.
It is causing some heartbreak for Miami fans.
Not only are the Dolphins and Jets divisional rivals in the AFC East, but Marshall is a former Dolphins player as well.
It is ridiculous for Wade, who isn’t from Miami, to be forced to root for the Dolphins, I mean who really wants to root for the Dolphins, not that the Jets are a better choice. In what looks like a SnapChat photo Wade says “family” so he is likely more concerned with supporting Marshall than the Jets.
