Marcus Mariota had quite the first half in his NFL debut on Sunday, tossing four touchdowns in the first half
Well, it’s pretty safe to say that Marcus Mariota is off to a pretty solid start with this whole NFL thing. Coming into his career with a lot of scrutiny with how well he can work out of the pocket, he certainly made it a point so silence a lot of people in the first half alone with his play.
Against Jameis Winston and the Buccaneers on Sunday, Mariota has more than done his part through two quarters of play, throwing four touchdown passes to get his career off the ground. Not to mention, he’s only managed three incompletions. Overall in the first half, Mariota is 10-of-13 for 175 yards and four scores. He hasn’t turned the ball over either.
Here’s a look at all four touchdown strikes Marcus Mariota tossed in that first half.
For now, there are a lot of people sitting back eating some crow. Again, Mariota was not supposed to impress like this according to a lot of people, but he’s out there doing his work.
The Titans and Mariota lead Winston and the Buccaneers 35-7 at the half.
