Mario Kart music makes Darren Sproles look even faster

Darren Sproles has made his mark on the NFL as a lightning-quick running back that is absolutely deadly coming out of the backfield as a pass-catcher. His speed and elusiveness are his greatest assets and it’s led to him becoming one of the best third-down backs in the history of the league. He’s never been as great as when his runs are set to the music of Mario Kart, though.

After taking off down the right sideline in the third quarter of the Philadelphia Eagles’ Monday Night Football matchup with the Atlanta Falcons, it didn’t take long for the Internet to jump on the opportunity and set Sproles’ scamper to the soothing tunes of Mario Kart:

Sproles is absolutely blazing fast to begin with, but he’s basically a blur when you throw in Mario Kart music. I’m pretty sure that music could make a turtle walking look at least as fast as a Peyton Manning scramble.

As the tweet says, though, the music should really just be reserved for Sproles himself. There’s just something magical about seeing a smaller running back with crazy speed rolling in the open field with those notes ringing through the air. In the end, that’s what football is all about.
