The NFL standings are only week old, and already things are shaping up to be interesting. The Indianapolis Colts were supposed to utterly destroy the AFC South and have the division wrapped up by Thanksgiving. In the meantime, the Tennessee Titans were projected by everybody to be the dregs of the league again, only to score 42 points. After one week, the Colts are actually looking up at the Titans.

Over in the NFC, we have the Seattle Seahawks as the only team without a win in the West. The St. Louis Rams were able to beat them in overtime while the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers both took care of business in Week 1.

Here are the NFL standings with 15 weeks remaining:

Of all the teams at the top and bottom that nobody expects to stick, a couple will. It is one of the best parts of the National Football League; which teams are going to shock the world. In recent seasons, we have seen teams go from 2-14 to 11-5 and wild card berths in the 2012 Indianapolis Colts and 2013 Kansas City Chiefs. Meanwhile, there have been legions of teams expected to make a run at the Super Bowl, only to finish 6-10.

Next week, the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings will play each other in a massive contest. Whoever loses is 0-2 and looking at a tough road in the NFC North. On the other side of things, the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos play on Thursday Night Football, with the winner taking an early upper hand in the AFC West. Denver has not lost to Kansas City since Peyton Manning came to the Mile High City in 2012.

It will be intriguing to see who steps up and who falls apart in Week 2. Luckily, we are only a few days away.
