Houston Rockets rookie big man Montrezl Harrell helped save a woman from a crash at the University of Louisville campus
Montrezl Harrell could wind up being a steal for the Houston Rockets. The once projected lottery pick fell to the Rockets in the second round of the 2015 NBA Draft and now has the chance to establish himself in Houston’s frontcourt rotation. While he waits to do that, he’s busy helping to save lives.
While at the campus of the University of Louisville—where Harrell played his college ball—this weekend, the Rockets big man came across an overturned vehicle that was smoking with a woman stuck inside. With the help of others at the scene, Harrell kicked in the window of the vehicle and pulled out the motorist to safety:

Harrell then went and retrieved a fire extinguisher and kept watch over the situation until the authorities arrived:

Regardless of if you think Harrell will amount to anything as an NBA player, that’s truly an act of heroism on his part. It takes a special person to be on the verge of becoming a professional athlete who’s set to become a millionaire to take part in such a selfless act. Hats off to Harrell for his bravery and willingness to take a risk for the benefit of someone else.
