Karlos Williams-Buffalo Bills (9.4%)

The Bills are the trendy pick to be a surprise contender after their impressive week one win over the Colts. Even in their big win, though, LeSean McCoy owners weren’t thrilled with his 41 yards on 17 carries and 46 yards on three catches.  McCoy’s backup actually had  better fantasy day than he did and rookie Karlos Williams is worth a look if you’re looking for more long-term upside from the waiver wire running backs.

Williams took six carries for 55 yards and a touchdown in his debut, and Coach Rex Ryan likes to mix up his running backs enough to keep him active and productive throughout the season.  The fifth round pick from Florida State beat out Fred Jackson for the backup role, and he’s an interesting fantasy pickup especially if you are a McCoy owner who is concerned with his week 1 line.

While he doesn’t have the immediate opportunity that Chris Johnson or Benjamin Cunningham have, Williams has more upside if you are looking for someone to stash for possible use down the road.
