Eric Berry Makes emotional return to Arrowhead Stadium (Video)
Eric Berry makes his return to Arrowhead Stadium after cancer fight.
After a nearly year-long battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry finally made his emotional return in front of the great fans at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas city on Thursday night.
Getting the start in the team’s home opener, Berry was introduced last to a thunderous ovation from the Kansas City faithful. He was cleared back in July of the cancer, and now, just two short months later, Berry is back taking the field in the all red. And it took just one series into the game for Berry to record his first tackle on Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson.
To see Berry make his return to the field after such a short amount of time is nothing more than awe inspiring. He’s the type of man that everyone should root on because he is living proof that just because you have cancer, it doesn’t mean that life as you know it is over.
Congratulations Berry on coming back to doing exactly what you were meant to do. Hopefully, you can be motivation for those going through the same battle now and in the future!
