Jimmy Carter was on the Kiss Cam at the Braves game
Everyone likes a cool moment on the big screen at a game. It’s always funny to see people who aren’t paying attention, or grandma and grandpa taking in a game and being shown on the screen. But what if that cute old couple were famous fans of the team? That makes it even better.
Jimmy Carter is a huge Atlanta Braves fan. If you ever watch a Braves game, you’ll see him and his wife Rosalynn. Carter is currently battling cancer, including melanoma spreading into four different parts of his brain.
Carter and his wife were at the Braves game tonight against the Toronto Blue Jays, and they were that cute old couple who got on the kiss cam. Don’t believe me? Take a look here.
In the clip, you can see that Carter even took the time to sign some autographs on some baseballs for some fans.
Carter was a state senator in Georgia, Governor of Georgia and then was elected president in 1976, and lost to Ronald Reagan in 1980.
As president, he created the Department of Energy and Education and led the boycott of the 1980 summer Olympics in Moscow.
After his presidency, Carter created the Carter Center in Atlanta for Human Rights. Carter was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 because of his work through the Carter Center.
He has also written many books on many different topics. He’s also made diplomatic efforts in talks with various countries such as the middle east.
Carter will turn 91 on October 1.
