In case you have been living under the largest rock in the world, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has been getting plenty of heat. Many pundits are the NFL universe believe his best days are over, and his performance in a Week 1 win over the Baltimore Ravens did not exactly quiet the masses.
Manning may have won, but he was 24-of-40 for 175 yards and an interception, which was returned for a touchdown by Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith. Against the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football, Manning has once again struggled. Manning has looked off in his reads and taken a pair of sacks, and then he made the big error. Manning saw pressure on a third down and made a bad throw, getting picked off by first-round rookie Marcus Peters. Peters ran the ball back 55 yards for a touchdown, giving the Chiefs a 14-0 lead in the second quarter.
Despite Denver coming back to make this a very competitive game at halftime, Manning’s first-half performance led to this onslaught on Twitter:
Peyton carrying himself like he doesn't care. No energy. Not engaged with WR and the OL and def not the coaches like we are used to seeing.

Gotta say, this guessing game as to which play is Peyton's and which is Kubiak's is wildly entertaining.

Of course, immediately after these tweets, Manning threw a touchdown strike to Emmanuel Sanders and then tied the game on the next drive following an Alex Smith interception. You never, ever, doubt Peyton Manning.
