On today’s schedule, the Cubs and Cardinals do the Wrigley Field thing and play an afternoon game before the other 28 teams take the field tonight under the lights. As has been the case throughout the month of September, the MLB has an emphasis today on divisional play with 12 of the 15 series featuring a division rivalry. In one of the non-divisional games, the Mets and Yankees meet in the Subway series as the interleague series on tap for the weekend. With all the history between the teams playing today, I’ve chosen to again expand my normal top 10 batter vs pitcher matchups to include 15 options for this Friday.

As many fantasy baseball players know, past success is no guarantee of future results, but it can be an an indicator of a favorable matchup to target as you put together your lineup.
