The new uniform blitz continues! The New Orleans Pelicans were the latest franchise to get into the fracas Thursday, as they unveiled a new set of Mardi Gras-themed duds to be used during the upcoming season. Feast your eyes, America (via @PelicansNBA):

Okay, the sleeves thing should be expected by now, but I still can’t just gloss over it. I don’t think I’ve heard of anybody that actually likes the sleeves, yet adidas keeps rolling out new sleeved NBA uniforms by the truckload. Whatever. I’d say they should be commended for sticking to their guns, but this is something one would imagine they’d want to distance from immediately.

Other than the sleeves, these uniforms are solid. They aren’t a huge departure from those that they wore a couple of years ago, but they still look fairly sharp. The “NOLA” across the chest is a definite win.

The Pels will sport these unis in six games next season.
