Look for these five NFL teams to possibly be upset in Week Two

The 2015 NFL season is underway and things are already crazy. The Buffalo Bills look like they’re destined to win the Super Bowl, Peyton Manning looks like he couldn’t get the high score in a football throwing arcade game, Marcus Mariota looks like a football Messiah, and the Seattle Seahawks are currently in last place in the NFC West. In short, up is down and down is up.

The Bills are perhaps the biggest story coming out of Week One. People expected their already talented defense to thrive under new head coach Rex Ryan, but thriving to the tune of holding Andrew Luck and company to 14 points is a different story. Throw in the fact that Tyrod Taylor and Buffalo’s offense looked better than competent on Sunday, and the Bills legitimately look like a major threat in the AFC.

Then there’s the fact that the Seahawks—you know, that team who represented the NFC in the Super Bowl last year—lost to the division-rival St. Louis Rams in Week One. Even with drastic improvements from the Rams, that seemed near impossible leading into the opening week of the 2015 season. Yet St. Louis was largely dominant of the Seahawks to kick off the year.

Out of all of this, there are two main takeaways. First is that things can get a bit wild during Week One and it’s important to remember it, but not take too much stock in what happened. Secondly, no matter how much we think we know, there’s always room for a surprise or an upset in the NFL.

Taking what we learned in Week One of the 2015 NFL season, we can now look at Week Two and try and gauge how things are going to play out. Factoring in that level of unpredictability, what we learned in Week One (while still not totally overreacting), and the matchups, we can look and see which teams are on upset alert.

After one week, there are a number of different qualifications for what an upset is. It could be whose listed as an underdog by the odds having a chance to knock off the favorite. It could be a team who’s 1-0 losing to a team who’s 0-1. It could be a team perceived as a powerhouse for this season getting knocked off by a team with far lower expectations.

Keeping all that in mind, these are the five NFL teams on upset alert in Week Two:
