Raiders rookie Amari Cooper has finally found the end zone as a profession, getting them on the board against the Ravens early
Well, we went one week so far here in the NFL season without seeing the greatness that is Oakland Raiders rookie wide receiver Amari Cooper. In Week 2, however, he wasted no time in reminding us all why he was a Heisman finalist and one of the most coveted players in the draft.
After opening up the season with a loss last week, the Raiders are taking on the Ravens Sunday afternoon, and immediately Cooper made his presence felt.
Just a few minutes into the game, he and Derek Carr hooked up for this beautiful 68-yard scoring strike to get Oakland on the board first against one of the best defenses in the league.
Hey, if you’re going to score the first touchdown of your career, there’s really no better defense to do that against than the Ravens. That’s letting everyone know that you’re not here to be a bust.
Cooper was maybe the greatest wide receiver to play at Alabama during his time there, and now he seems pretty determined to make his mark on the NFL.
