Miami Dolphins vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
It’s nice to see Ryan Tannehill slowly climb into that top-tier range of pro quarterbacks as the Miami Dolphins’ gunslinger seems to have improved each season since joining the league. The Dolphins are 1-0 after a nice road win against the Washington Redskins, but traveling to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars may not be an easy task.
In the past, heading to Jacksonville was a week off for opponents and it was almost like a bye. However, with added pieces such as Denard Robinson, Blake Bortles, T.J. Yeldon, Allen Hurns, Allen Robinson and Rashad Greene, this team has a serious shot of winning more than six games this year — maybe even approaching the .500 mark.
Tannehill also added a new of target as the young quarterback will be looking to proven tight end Jordan Cameron to be a viable option in the pass game as Jarvis Landry develops. Veteran wide out Greg Jennings is also in South Beach now as the receiving corps have a true leader. Many believe this is the year Lamar Miller breaks out in the backfield, but time will tell.
Not many things went right for the Jags in a week one loss to the Carolina Panthers and their stout defense. Bortles didn’t have the best 2015 debut, completing just 22-of-40 passes for 183 yards, a touchdown and two picks. He will need to improve on those numbers if the Jaguars want to take down the Dolphins.
