Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie injured himself on the opening play of Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons in MetLife Stadium. Rodgers-Cromartie suffered what has been deemed a burner, and his return is questionable.

The Giants have felt their star corner’s injury in the early going. Matt Ryan was 11-for-18 in the first quarter, with Julio Jones reeling in six receptions for 44 yards. Jayron Hosley backs up Rodgers-Cromartie on the team’s depth chart.

New York is looking to bounce back from a crushing defeat to the Dallas Cowboys last week. In that game, the Giants gave up a whopping 436 yards, including 356 to Tony Romo. Missing Rodgers-Cromartie for the game’s entirety would be a huge loss for the team’s already porous defense.
