The Green Bay Packers are already without star receiver Jordy Nelson and right tackle Bryan Bulaga. Now, the Packers might be playing sans running back Eddie Lacy, who was carted to the locker room with an ankle injury, according to the team’s official Twitter account. At this point, his return is being called questionable.

Lacy has been one of the league’s best running backs since being drafted in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Lacy has posted a pair of 1,000-yard seasons but was knocked from Sunday night’s game against the Seattle Seahawks on the first drive. Lacy immediately went over to the trainer’s table and was being worked on without his cleat. Lacy’s ankle was completely re-taped and tried to put weight on the leg but could not do it. At that point, Green Bay called for a cart.

If Lacy is out for any period of time, his absence only puts more pressure on Aaron Rodgers to play well. Rodgers is without Nelson, who tore his ACL in Week 2 of the preseason against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This week, Bulaga went down in practice with a sprained MCL and a torn meniscus, and is expected to be out at least six weeks.
The Packers will have their hands full against the Seahawks for the rest of the evening before they take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football next week.
