Week 1 in the NFL left some teams optimistic about their playoff chances, some teams searching for answers, and every fantasy football owner fired up for another great season. Whether you’re playing in a season-long league or a daily fantasy sports site like FanDuel or DraftKings, one of the keys to success is getting production from unexpected places.  To help you pinpoint some value plays for this week, check out my fantasy football sleepers week 2 on the following slides.

More from Arizona Cardinals

Earlier this week, I posted my full lineup for DraftKings and FanDuel highlighting the matchups I like the most for this week. In this post, rather than highlight stars who will cost you a chunk of your salary, I’ll look at players who are much less expensive options who I think will out-perform their pay grade. If you’re looking for a last-minute addition to your season-long fantasy team, some of these players are on the waiver wire and have the potential to out-perform their expectations this week based on matchup, opportunity, and their current form.

Week 2 is always interesting since it starts to build storylines that continue the rest of the season.  In many cases, we find out if teams and players were just one-week wonders or if they really are trending in the right direction.  Even though it’s still early, there are some big games this week including divisional battles in the AFC East (New England at Buffalo), NFC North (Detroit at Minnesota), and NFC East (Dallas at Philadelphia).  The Sunday Night Football game should also be a great contest to watch as the Packers host the Seahawks in a rematch of last year’s NFC Championship game.

If you’re looking for more fantasy football coverage, check out our fantasy football hub which is always loaded with tips, picks, and the latest injury news. If you have lineup questions for one-week or your season-long leagues, I’ll answer as many as I can on Twitter @FansidedFantasy.

On each of the next few slides, you can find some of my favorite value plays for week 2.  While they each have their own risks, these players are set to produce despite their fairly low salary.  I’ve broken my picks down by position and included the salary of the player on both DraftKings and FanDuel. None of these players are in the top tier at their position, but I think they’ll out-perform expectations this week. At the bottom of each slide I’ve also included the players I selected at the position last week.

Let’s jump right in with my Fantasy Football Sleepers Week 2 at Quarterback.
