Jameis Winston didn’t start so hot in Week 1, but he’s carving up the Saints with his arm and legs on Sunday.

If you tuned out of Jameis Winston’s first week performance against the Titans and already had your mind made up about him, you should probably re-evaluate your line of thinking. Winston isn’t lighting the league on fire in his second week in the NFL, but he’s taking the Saints to task with his arm and legs.

Vincent Jackson was on the receiving end of a brilliant touchdown throw by Winston in the second quarter but it wasn’t the most impressive play that the quarterback made in the half. Before halftime, the Bucs extended their lead over Rob Ryan’s defense by having Jameis break some ankles.

Winston’s first week in the NFL wasn’t so hot, but it wasn’t indicative of what his entire career will be. That’s not to say that the career of Jameis is going to end in the Hall of Fame, but he’s clearly making progress after a rough start to his career in Tampa Bay and he’s doing it against a division rival looking for their first win of the year.
