In 2013 Mark Sanchez brought the world an instant classic with Butt Fumble. Now, a sequel two years in the making has finally graced the screens on NFL Sunday.

Marcus Mariota stars in …

Butt Fumble 2: Cleveland Steamer

With its limited release, critics are already divided on the new short.

Peter Travers with Rolling Stone has hailed it as the next great sequel in cinema history.

"“Empire Strikes Back, Godfather II, and now Butt Fumble 2 … it’s an assterpiece that does justice to the original. That a rookie could pull off such a move shows this Mariota kid has what it takes to be a star in the league.”"

Wesley Morris with the New York Times had mixed reviews on the flick.

"“Mariota is a character whom you really root for; however he lacks the charisma of the Sanchize. The effort was there, but the execution and camera angles were lacking. Had the play not been negated due to penalty, it would have done more for me. Too much innuendo.”"

The ghost of Roger Ebert was not so high.

"“It’s pure s–t.”"

With the revitalization of pulp films thanks to the Sharknado franchise, it’s likely that league owners will green light a Butt Fumble 3.
