Odell Beckham Jr. makes crazy catch (VIDEO)
The New York Giants might not be very good this season, but they will be entertaining. New York’s second-year receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was a human highlight reel last season, and he is off to a good start in 2015. Against the Atlanta Falcons in the Giants’ home opener, Beckham laid out for this 26-yard grab.
Beckham caught the football while he was parallel to the ground. He is truly shaping up to be one of those once-in-a-generation type talents for New York. Last year, Beckham was drafted in the first round out of LSU and missed the first four games with hamstring injuries. There were whispers that Beckham was not going to make an impact, but he came back in the final 12 games to haul in a team-best 91 catches for 1,305 and a dozen touchdowns.
In Week 1 of the 2015 season, Beckham got off to a quiet start against the Dallas Cowboys and finished with five catches on nine targets for 44 yards and zero touchdowns. Beckham should be able to have ample success against the Falcons, who finished with the worst defense in the NFL last year.
Beckham will eventually have more weapons to help spread the defense out when Victor Cruz returns. The Giants also have Rueben Randle and Shane Vereen coming out of the backfield.
