43. 55. 18. 42. Final

The Pittsburgh Steelers bounced back from their season-opening loss in a big way on Sunday. In their home-opener at Heinz Field the Steelers put up 43 points on a jet-lagged 49ers team.

San Francisco was overmatched from the start. After playing at home on Monday night, the Niners had to travel across the country on a short week to play the early game.

Ben Roethlisberger was near perfect on the day, and Antonio Brown was a wrecking machine. Brown hauled in nine receptions for 195 yards, and was one of three Pittsburgh receivers to have over 60 yards of offense.

Colin Kaepernick totaled nearly 400 yards of offense, and Torrey Smith had a big day with over 100 yards receiving. However, the Niners could never get their ground game working – Kaepernick was the leading rusher, and Carlos Hyde couldn’t even scratch 50 yards on the day.

After a solid outing in there opening contest, San Francisco came out flat in Week 2.
