Brandon Marshall showed grown man strength with his fourth quarter touchdown

The New York Jets seemed a step ahead of the Indianapolis Colts all night on Monday Night Football. Their defense had largely stifled Andrew Luck and the Colts offense and their offense had been moving the ball surprisingly well. It helps your offense a great deal when Brandon Marshall is your wide receiver and he’s playing like a grown man.

After the Colts had just pulled within three points in the fourth quarter, the Jets drove down the field to try and get their lead back up to 10. That’s when they targeted Marshall in the red zone and Marshall would not be denied his touchdown, even with a couple of Colts defensive backs draped over him:

That’s just incredible; Marshall looks like a dad playing with his children in the back yard as he goes across the goal line. I’m not defensive coach in the NFL, but I’m pretty sure there has to be a better way to go about trying to tackle a receiver beyond holding onto him while he drags you wherever he pleases.

Marshall’s touchdown is pretty indicative of how this game as a whole has played out on Monday Night Football. The Jets have been doing what they want and the Colts have been just trying to hang on to no avail.
