On Monday Night Football, the Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets will square off at Lucas Oil Stadium. New York is 1-0, coming off a 31-10 pounding of the Cleveland Browns in which Ryan Fitzpatrick threw a pair of touchdowns. On the flip side, Indianapolis came into the season as a preseason favorite to win the Super Bowl and dropped the opener to the Buffalo Bills, 27-14.
The Colts are opening the home slate with hopes of avoiding a second consecutive 0-2 start, while the Jets, who are a seven-point underdog, are hoping to pull the upset.

This has the feel of an early-season test for the Jets. Many people were picking New York to make a postseason run after an offseason that saw the signings of Darrelle Revis, Antonio Cromartie and Buster Skrine in the secondary, along with trades that brought in Brandon Marshall and Fitzpatrick. Then Geno Smith got sucker-punched and Sheldon Richardson was suspended for the first four games of the regular season, and people went fleeing from the bandwagon.
Indianapolis is hoping to have its full compliment of weapons on offense. Receiver T.Y. Hilton is a game-time decision with a knee injury, although most expect him to be active. The defense is without a ton of contributors. In the secondary, the Colts are dealing with theinjuries of D’joun Smith, Darius Butler and Greg Toler. Up front, defensive end Arthur Jones is out for the season with an ankle injury while outside linebacker Robert Mathis is still recovering from an Achilles tear.
