Welcome back to Last night in the WNBA Playoffs, a running post you’ll see throughout the next month or so as we march towards the crowning of a new WNBA champion.

Friendly Bounce was #blessed to be in the house as Tamika Catchings and Elena Delle Donne had an epic duel for the right to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. In the end it was Catchings and the Fever that got it done, besting EDD and company for their fifth straight ECF appearance.
Delle Donne was hot early, dropping 6 of the Sky’s first 10 points, and 14 in the first quarter. AIR. HORN. PLEASE.
She wasn’t the only one putting her stamp on this game though, as Catchings was doing work on the offensive end as well, becoming the first player to score 1,000 points in the WNBA Playoffs.
.@Catchin24 is now the first player in @WNBA history to score 1,000+ points in the playoffs. #WeAreFever pic.twitter.com/UNyQiZOW94

Basically just no one missed a shot in the first half. It was absurd.
the @wnbachicagosky shooting 62.5%

the @IndianaFever shooting 61.1%
two teams combined 9-19 from three #WNBAPlayoffs
The first big play of the second half was on defense though, as EDD came through with the huge rejection.
Remember that thing about how everyone was unconscious?

Okay, now do you remember?
The Fever kept trying to pull away, but every time they had the Sky on the ropes, EDD was there to get a huge bucket. Well, until the final minute or so, as the Fever finally held off a late surge by the Sky.
EDD dropped a 40 ball.
But Tamika dropped 27 and the Fever advanced with the upset victory.
