The Dallas Mavericks failed to sign DeAndre Jordan this summer, and Mark Cuban can’t stop talking about it.

It was a wild summer for the Dallas Mavericks, as they thought an agreement was in place to sign DeAndre Jordan, but that never ended up happening. The DeAndre Hostage Crisis captured the nation — or maybe just basketball Twitter — but above all it enraged Mark Cuban.

If there’s one thing the Mavs owner doesn’t like doing, it’s losing things and he lost something in the most public and embarrassing way possible when Jordan backed out of his deal.

While Cuban says that he’s over the whole incident, he continues to talk about it and attempt to troll the Clippers for undercutting him and stealing Jordan back.

"I give [Rivers] credit for it. His professional life was over, if he didn’t get DJ. His back was against the wall and he did what he needed to do.”"

Cuban is well within his rights to still be mad about this, as losing Jordan was a rare thing to see happen in free agency. But it’s not the first time a player has backed out of a deal and it’s not even the only time it happened to the Mavericks this summer. Richard Jefferson backed out of a deal to sign with the Mavericks, but the high profile nature of Jordan and the way he burned the Mavericks is something that Cuban will take far more personally for so much longer.
