The NBA Playoffs are almost through one round of play, and the Liberty have punched their ticket to the Conference Finals against the Fever.

With a spot on the line in the Eastern Conference Finals in the WNBA Playoffs, the New York Liberty overcame a huge 10-point deficit in the first quarter to bounce the Washington Mystics and advance. It was a 25-15 start to the game for the Mystics, but they weren’t able to hold, and Bill Lambieer’s team ended up pulling out the huge win.

Here’s a look at the updated WNBA Playoff bracket now that the Liberty are on to the Conference Finals:

Not only is this setting up a great series between the Liberty and Fever, but it’s another chapter in the uncanny New York-Indiana basketball rivalry that we’ve seen go up and down over the last 25 years. The Knicks and Pacers started the rivalry and now the Liberty and Fever will continue that at Madison Square Garden later this week.

It’s yet to be seen who will advance on the Western side of the bracket, but the Liberty aren’t yet concerned about that. Indiana torched New York in the regular season, winning the season series 4-1 and are coming off a 100-point performance against the Chicago Sky.
