Lorenzo Taliaferro-Baltimore Ravens (24.7%)

The Ravens have started the year 0-2 with a pair of road losses in Denver and last week’s shocker in Oakland. Another surprise to many fantasy owners is the growing role of Lorenzo Taliaferro in the Ravens attack.

On Sunday in Oakland, starter and highly-drafted Justin Forsett played 42 snaps and Taliaferro played 34.  In the second half, it seemed Taliaferro got most of the work including the Ravens first rushing touchdown of the season.  Talaiferro didn’t play in the first game of the season after tweaking his knee in preseason, but it looks like Coach John Harbaugh is ready to get him involved in the offensive flow going forward.

Even at under 50% of the Ravens snaps, Taliaferro has fantasy value especially if he gets the goal line work as he did on Sunday.  It’s no sure thing that he’ll keep getting this much time, but he’s worth adding if you’re looking for someone with a growing role going forward the rest of the season.
