Bilal Powell-New York Jets (5.6%%)

Chris Ivory is clearly the lead dog in the Jets backfield, but there also appears to also be work each week for Bilal Powell in Coach Todd Bowles run-heavy offense.  Power has gotten 12 carries in each of the first two weeks and has 30 touches compared to 37 for Ivory.

Powell only gained 38 yards on his 12 carries in week 2 after 62 yards in week 1.  Powell did add four catches for 16 yards in the win against Indianapolis although he has yet to find the end zone yet this season.

The Jets offense is going to try to run the ball and rely on their defense to carry them through for as long as they can, so look for Powell to continue getting enough work to be worth owning in many leagues.  Because he hasn’t found the end zone, he’s still flying under the radar in lots of formats, but don’t overlook the amount of work he’s getting.
