FanDuel Picks For Week 3

We here at Fantasy CPR will work very hard and do everything that we can to bring you articles to prepare you and help you be successful with your bids and games at FanDuel and DraftKings just as we have with MLB and NBA. I always recommend that you do plenty of homework on your own as well as reading our articles. You will also want to make sure that you have access to your FanDuel lineup prior to kickoff in case a player is a last-minute inactive players.

There should be plenty of bargains and great plays in this weeks set of games and we will try to help you to be as good as you can and take home plenty of cash.

Here are my FanDuel picks for week three:

Next: Quarterback and Running Backs

Quarterback:

Cam Newton, Panthers ($7,900): Newton is coming off of a great game and finds himself in a good match-up for week three. He has a pretty solid  price point for week three and I always like Newton as I love his potential to provide solid QB stats as well as bring the bonus RB play to his game. Against the Saints defense it would not shock me to see Newton with a crazy 250 passing yards, 50-75 rushing yards and three or four touchdowns kind of day. I am not using a crystal ball, but I do see that kind of potential here.

Running Backs:

Le’Veon Bell, Steelers ($8,800): Bell is coming into this game off of a two-week suspension and should have some  nice and fresh legs. This is likely the cheapest that we will see him all year so I figure why not go ahead and give him a spin. The Rams have a good defense and this isn’t what you would call a tasty match-up, but I do think that he will make for a great play considering his involvement in the offense.

Bishop Sankey, Titans ($6,300): Sankey had a good game in week one and then saw himself lose touches to McCluster in week two. I believe that it was probably a game-flow thing as the Titans were behind most of the game. This week the Titans get the struggling Colts and if they continue to play as they have the first two weeks Sankey should have a much better day and find the end zone and would make him a solid and cheap play

Next: Wide Receiver Options

Wide Receiver Options:

Julian Edelman, Patriots ($7,700): Edelman has been a great option for Tom Brady the first two weeks of the season. He is Brady’s first option and should continue in that all season long. As long as he finds the end zone he will easily be worth the price tag you drafted him at.

Jordan Matthews, Eagles ($7,100): Matthews has been a consistent wheel for Eagles’ quarterback Sam Bradford. He has 10 catches in the first game and followed it up with six catches and a TD in week two. I like to roll with these guys as the high speed offense is always certain to get plenty of plays and plenty of targets to the WRs.

Pierre Garcon, Redskins ($5,900): Garcon is my low-price option that i really like. I expect that he will continue to improve and that he should be a factor this week against the Giants. I realize that had he not found the end zone last week he would have been a bust, but with no DeSean Jackson he should be a target hog.

Next: Tight End, Kicker And Defense

  • Tight End:

Greg Olsen, Panthers ($5,900): Olsen has been up and down to start the season. I am giving him a chance this week as I really like the match-up against the Saints for Newton and he does not have a ton of other options. The Saints are not great against tight ends, but they are not the worse either.

    Defense:

Seattle Seahawks ($5,300): Let’s face it, anyone who is playing the Bears becomes a great fantasy defense as Jay Cutler loves to turn the ball over. There is also the chance that Cutler will not suit up and take the field which would make the Seahawks an even more enticing option. No matter what happens behind center I expect the Seahwawks defense to be an excellent fantasy play this week.

    Kicker:

Robbie Gould, Bears ($4,800): I have a well-known disdain for kickers in fantasy football. I strongly dislike them and wish that no one would use them, but since they do I vary in how I like to pick kickers. This week I simply picked the highest scoring kicker with the best match-up as rated by ESPN.com.

As always we thank you for stopping by and wish you FanDuelers the best of luck!
