James Harden throws out first pitch and shot at Michael Carter-Williams.
James Harden is having a pretty good summer. A new $200 million endorsement contract. Got himself a Kardashian girlfriend (well maybe that’s a good thing). Still has his awesome beard. He’s still one of the best guards in the game today. You can add first pitch thrower to it as well.
No one cares about the ceremonial first pitch before a baseball game. Unless it turns into internet gold like when 50 Cent or Michael Carter-Williams throws it. Then people care and will take time out of their day to watch it. A lot. Which leads me to Harden.
Harden threw out his pitch today before the Houston Astros faced the Los Angeles Angels. No one got hurt. He didn’t hit anyone. He even reached the plate from the mound, which many people can’t do when they get to throw out the pitch. See for yourself.
See no incident. Nothing happened.
Because nothing happened, Harden did take a subtle shot at MCW about his first pitch.
Johnathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle caught up with Harden after he threw his pitch to another bearded Houston athlete, Dallas Keuchel.
“To be honest, it was a ball,” Harden said. “It felt good. That’s all that matters. I didn’t hit anybody. I didn’t hit a cameraman. I’m happy about that.”
Feel the burn MCW.
He didn’t hit a cameraman because there wasn’t one behind the plate filming it unlike when MCW threw out his first pitch.
The Bucks play the Rockets in January and February of next year this upcoming season. Maybe Harden can say something to MCW before those games too.
