A common strategy in FanDuel or DraftKings contests is to stack multiple players on the same team. If a team is the heavy favorite according to Vegas, multiple players from the same team are expected to do well. Stacks are especially common in NHL, MLB and NFL and could take your team to the top of tournaments. Plus, nothing is better than watching your team score two touchdowns at one time.

In football, a good stack consists of a quarterback and one of his two favorite targets. Quarterback stack options should be determined on a few factors: matchup, offensive system and the talent level of his receivers. Receivers also are reliant on the matchup and the offensive system, as well as their receptions. That being said, Here are my stacks that should make you stacks of cash this weekend.

Next: New England Won't Take the Air Out of the Ball

Dec 14, 2014; Foxborough, MA, USA; New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (12) celebrates with tight end Rob Gronkowski (87) after catching the ball to score a touchdown during the second half against the Miami Dolphins at Gillette Stadium. New England Patriots QB Tom Brady ($8,700), TE Rob Gronkowski ($8,400) and WR Julian Edelman ($7,700)

I hate Tom Brady as much as the next guy, but it doesn’t change the fact that he is playing with as much fire as we’ve seen in recent years. Brady proved that he is pretty much matchup-proof as he lit up the Bills stellar front for 40 points and 466 yards. He has thrown seven touchdowns thus far and the Jaguars aren’t likely to halt Brady from extending that total to double digits.

Rob Gronkowski is a freak of nature. He has the potential to become the best tight end of all time. With 58 touchdowns in 67 career games, Gronk has double touchdown potential every game. He lines up wide in the red zone and torches opposing linebackers and safeties. With 4 touchdowns and 191 yards to date, Gronk should score at least once with 75+ yards. Tight end is pretty scarce and Gronk gives you the edge at that position that could get you over the hump.

Julian Edelman is playing the exact same role as Wes Welker. A diminutive slot receiver, Edelman has earned Brady’s trust as his go-to receivers. He has lead the league in receptions thus far with 22 total and should get a ton of targets this Sunday. The key to this stack is Edelman scoring at least one touchdown. He will get the yards and the catches, but if he could punch it into the end zone, he has easy 20 point upside.

Next: The Steel Curtain

Dec 7, 2014; Cincinnati, OH, USA; Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown (84) celebrates with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (7) in the second half against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium. The Steelers won 42-21. Mandatory Credit: Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger ($8,500), WR Antonio Brown ($9,300) and TE Heath Miller ($5,800)

Big Ben had a huge comeback year last season after a couple of adequate seasons. He is healthy and now has the deep threats and speedy receivers to compliment his huge arm. This season, he has not slowed down. He has thrown for 350+ yards in both starts along with four passing touchdowns. St. Louis was straight up bad last week vs. Kirk Cousins and the ‘Skins. I expect Roethlisberger to throw the ball 35+ times with at least three touchdowns

Antonio Brown has established himself as the best wide receiver in football, as well as solidifying his strong connection with Roethlisberger. Brown is a PPR monster and should make at least eight catches, which plays strong into FanDuel’s Half PPR format. His explosiveness also helps his case as a stack receiver as he makes big plays all game long. He is leading the league in receiving yards with 328 with 18 catches and two touchdowns.

Heath Miller is a guy that I rarely like to target. He is a very inconsistent player for this Steelers offense, but in a stack with Roethlisberger and Brown, I can see him making a difference. Thanks to Martavis Bryant’s suspension, Miller will see some more looks in the red zone. At $5,800, it makes sense to take him as Roethlisberger only really throws to Brown and Miller in the red zone leading to touchdowns all across the board.

Next: House of Card(inal)s

Dec 8, 2013; Phoenix, AZ, USA; Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer (right) talks to running back Larry Fitzgerald (11) on the sidelines in the first half against the St. Louis Rams at University of Phoenix Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer ($8,100) and WR Larry Fitzgerald ($6,700)

Who would have thought that Carson Palmer would return to his prime in his age 35 season? Palmer has shredded both defenses he has faced and is still relatively cheap for his early season performance. He had a rough preseason, but has gone on to throw seven touchdowns in two weeks. Palmer has a strong connection with versatile wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, which should help as the season moves on. Palmer plays the Niners who gave up 43 points to Pittsburgh last week, so look for plenty of opportunities for the Cardinals to score through the air.

And who would have thought Larry Fitzgerald would score three touchdowns in a game again in his career? Fitzgerald has scored five times in the last two seasons and was a huge afterthought in the offense last season. Michael Floyd and John Brown are viewed as the Cardinals’ receivers for the future, but as they develop, Palmer is continuing to pepper Fitzgerald with targets. He caught eight of nine targets for 112 yards last week and should be relied on even more as the Cardinals look to send a message to the division rival 49ers.
