In the National Football League, Week 3 is the witching hour. For teams that are 0-2, this is the time to either stand up and be counted or submit for the rest of the season. It is almost impossible to make the playoffs after starting in an 0-3 hole, regardless of the talent on the roster.

Coming into this weekend, there are the New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears, Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts, Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans sitting at 0-2. Of those teams, many were expected to make a playoff push, with the Ravens, Colts and Eagles thought to be Super Bowl contenders.
Which ones can get off the mat and showcase their championship skills, and which are going to be the disappointments of 2015? We take a look in our Week 3 NFL picks…
Clearly, you need to be leary of Mr. Jorgensen. A man who is 10 games under .500 can’t be trusted, especially when he goes rogue and takes the Lions. Detroit has endured a tough start to the season with losses to the Chargers and Vikings, and now opens the home slate against the undefeated Broncos. Can Matthew Stafford finally get this train back on the tracks? Jorgensen says yes. Just say no, kids.
We are all in agreement on a few games including the Cardinals hammering the 49ers and the Jets putting Philadelphia in an 0-3 hole. The Eagles looked amazing in the preseason but have been awful through the first two regular-season weeks, losing to the Falcons and Cowboys.
Lastly, there were a couple of easy calls with the Patriots and Seahawks beating the Jaguars and Bears, respectively. Can the projected losers cover the spread?
