Meanwhile, Washington was picked by many to be the worst team in the National Football League headed into the season. However, Kirk Cousins has been a steadying force at quarterback while the duo of Matt Jones and Alfred Morris have been dynamic out of the backfield. Washington dropped its season opener against the Miami Dolphins at FedEx Field before rebounding on Sunday with a resounding 24-10 win over the favored St. Louis Rams.

The Giants and Redskins are both dealing with injuries. Washington will be without DeSean Jackson, who is missing his second consecutive game with a hamstring pull. Jackson is not expected to be back until October, with the timeline sitting at 3-4 weeks. New York has already ruled out receiver Victor Cruz and cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. Cruz is still returning from a torn patellar tendon he sustained 11 months ago, while Rodgers-Cromartie sustained a concussion on Sunday and remains in the league’s protocol.
