Tristan Thompson may or may not have come to a new deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday
With the NBA season rapidly approaching here in 2015, the main question on a lot of peoples’ minds is whether or not Tristan Thompson will be re-signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers. After the outstanding season he had last year as the Cavaliers made their way to the NBA Finals, he became a free agent this past spring.
Well, we finally got an answer on Thursday as to whether or not Thompson would be returning to the Cavaliers for what should be another playoff run. Actually, we sort of got one.
Thursday afternoon we were treated to this tweet from ESPN’s Chris Broussard, stating that a new agreement had been reached.
THAT IS GREAT NEWS, RIGHT CAVS FANS? ESPECIALLY SINCE HE TWEETED IT IN ALL CAPS SO YOU KNOW THAT IT”S EXTRA IMPORTANT! Yeah, well, not long after this “exciting” announcement came this from the Akron Beacon Journal.
I've been told reports of extension for Tristan Thompson inaccurate. No deal struck, nor do #Cavs seem interested in reported 3/$53 million

Oh? Well, that’s a little deflating, eh?
So, one of these reports are correct, and if history has taught us anything, you can probably easily determine which one you’re going to believe for now.
