Yogi Berra had a lot of people paying tribute to him on Wednesday, but none may have better than the incomparable Vin Scully
Wednesday morning as everyone woke up, we were treated to the unfortunate news that one of the greatest legends the game of baseball has ever seen, Yogi Berra, died at the age of 90. Throughout the day and night on Wednesday, those that knew him from around the baseball community shared some pretty touching stories, remembering one of the more polarizing figures in the history of not just baseball, but sports altogether.
Well, as we all know, there is no one in the game of baseball that can tell a story like longtime Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully. We also know that in his many travels throughout the years, Scully got to know Berra quite well.
That’s why it was more than fitting that, prior to the Dodgers game on Wednesday night, Scully went out of his way to remember Yogi Berra.
No one in this world tells a story quite like Vin Scully and when we have an unfortunate situation like we did with the death of Berra, there really is not a better voice to listen to as people try to cope with losing such a person.
