The Chicago Bears will have a new look on offense on Sunday with quarterback Jay Cutler and receiver Alshon Jeffery officially ruled out.
Very few people believed that Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler would suit up on Sunday after hurting his hamstring is last week’s loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Now, we have confirmation that he’ll at least miss Week Three per Zach Zaidman of the Bears Radio Network.

Cutler was hurt on Sunday when Cardinals he tried to tackled Tony Jefferson on an intercepted pass. There was also concern that he had hurt his shoulder in the process, but that no longer appears to be the case.
Right now, the Bears are considering it a week-to-week issue, although ESPN’s Adam Schefter has heard Cutler will likely miss two weeks with the injury. Cutler, who is 26-of-45 for 345 yards, two touchdowns, and a pair of interceptions in two starts this season, would then likely return for the Bears for a Week Five match-up against the Kansas City Chiefs.
In the meantime, the 0-2 Bears will hand the keys over to former Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen. Clausen, who went 14-for-23 for 121 yards and a pick in relief of Cutler on Sunday, will have his work cut out for him against the Seattle Seahawks. In addition to running into a hungry team looking for its first win in Seattle, the Bears will also be down one of their top receivers.
Alshon Jeffery, who has been dealing with his own hamstring issues since Week One, when he caught five passes on 11 targets for 78 yards, has been ruled out for the Seahawks game. That puts a lot of pressure on Eddie Royal to be active on Sunday. Royal has been limited in practice this week due to back and hip ailments.
