Jimmy Rollins just couldn’t help but give umpire Joe West a hard time about his highly-publicized stare down

Next: Madison Bumgarner and Joe West Have a Stare Down

On Thursday night we were treated to one of the funnier incidents in baseball that we’ve seen all season long. Umpire Joe West was behind the plate for the San Francisco Giants vs. the San Diego Padres when he and star pitcher Madison Bumgarner got into a pretty awkward and weird stare down with one another. It was pretty uncomfortable, yet funny at the same time.

Speaking of funny, leave it up to none other than Jimmy Rollins to have a playful time with it all.

On Friday, West’s duties took to the game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies, where he was working third base. In the first inning of this one Rollins hit a triple, and when he got to third base, he just could not resist giving West a little stare of his own.

Now that was probably just as funny as the original incident, if not funnier. The way that Rollins cracked up right at the end there was tremendous.

Hey, sometimes you just gotta have fun with things like what happened on Thursday night.
