The Rock gave fans a surprise photo for his throwback Thursday.
The Rock has always seemed to embrace the spotlight, whether it’s the good or the bad – and apparently his life in the limelight started off on the wrong foot.
Every WWE fan knows the former wrestling star turned actor as a pulverizing machine.
Taking a look at him in his prime makes you wonder. Was this guy ever a normal sized human being, or did he just look like he could demolish wrestlers in the ring from day one? Seriously – Brock Lesnar is a massive guy and looks pretty difficult to take down, and the Rock does it with ease at some points.
On throwback Thursday the Rock gave his 27.8M followers on Instagram a treat – a photo of him in his youth. It features young Dwayne Johnson, before the massive growth spurt he underwent, in one of his not-so-finer moments.
What was supposed to be one of the best moments of his young life until that point turned into a humiliating nightmare. You don’t always see superstars post embarrassing photographs of their self, especially when it concerns a mass of people trying to figure out your gender. This is what makes the Rock who he is in the eyes of his fans – brilliant and down to earth.
The Rock has just a little bit of amazing and a lot of empathy in this post. While understanding that a great deal of his fan base is under 18 years old, he reaches out to them to show that even he has embarrassing moments and the only way to get over them is to move on. Classy move, Dwayne.
