The Buffalo Bills ran all over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday
In an AFC East battle between two teams looking to contend for a playoff spot, the Buffalo Bills went down to Miami and put on a complete performance against the Dolphins. Behind quarterback Tyrod Taylor and the Bills defense, Buffalo imposed their will all day.
The Bills wasted no time getting on the board early as Tyrod Taylor found Charles Clay for a 25-yard touchdown. After another Dolphins punt, Buffalo once again was in position to put more points up on their rival.
After Taylor found Clay on another short pass, he then found LeSean McCoy for a 10-yard touchdown to silence the crowd at Sun Life Stadium early. The Bills would continue to build the lead from there. Ryan Tannehill would throw an interception, which set up a Buffalo field goal.
If things couldn’t go any worse for the Dolphins, Tannehill would later throw an interception right to Preston Brown, who returned the ball 43 yards for a touchdown. Suddenly, Sun Life Stadium was raining boos and the Dolphins couldn’t do anything right.
So, naturally, Tannehill would throw yet another interception on the very next possession to make things worse for the Dolphins than they already were. The Bills would get a field goal out of it and go into the half up 27-0.
In the second half, the Bills kept their foot on the throat to keep the game at bay and would win 41-14. Tannehill would find Rishard Matthews for a pair of touchdowns to give the Dolphins some points on the day, but it didn’t matter, as Buffalo showed some resolve after losing to New England last week.
One concern for Buffalo is wide receiver Sammy Watkins would leave the game with a calf injury. There is no timetable on his return.
