Brandon Weeden owns an incredible Cowboys passing record
By Mike Dyce
Brandon Weeden set a Dallas Cowboys passing record while replacing the injured Tony Romo.
The Dallas Cowboys season seemed to take a turn for the worse and it looked liked they’d be on a downward spiral. With star quarterback Tony Romo out, the Cowboys are left with Brandon Weeden under center.
Weeden has been impressive since stepping in, and has yet to throw an incompletion. In fact, he’s started Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons with a perfect 100 percent completion rate.
It makes 20 consecutive completions for Weeden dating back to last week, which is a new Cowboys record.
Think of all the legendary quarterbacks that have played for the Cowboys, Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman, Tony Romo and Weeden now is among them in the record book.
And to make it all even more insane, Weeden is knocking on the door of an NFL consecutive completed passes record too.
To top it all off, he is doing it without the Cowboys star wide receiver Dez Bryant, who is out with a foot injury. And star tight end Jason Witten is playing through injuries as well.
Maybe it wasn’t that crazy when Jerry Jones says he is the prettiest passer he has ever seen.
