Cam Newton is still a rising star in the NFL but he’s still too young to get a Ed Hochuli person foul call.

The Carolina Panthers are off to a 3-0 start to their season and are already setting their sights on possibly making the playoffs for a third straight year. They might even make the postseason as a divisional winner again, but there is still some growth that needs to happen for Cam Newton  to impress the likes of Ed Hochuli.

Newton said after the game that he tried to complain about not getting a person foul call from Ed Hochuli, who responded that the quarterback is ‘too young’ to ask for that yet.

"“I was rolling out trying to string out the play and create some kind of opportunity to get a completion. The defensive lineman kind of hit me. It was close, right on the cusp, late hit, I don’t know."

This is nothing short of perfection from Hochuli. He’s already the most likable referee in all of sports and he’s someone that can get away with something like this and have everyone love it. Other referees would deb accused of being crotchety, but HOchuli can even pull that off.
