Keenan Allen made two Vikings defensive backs collide on his way to the endzone

The San Diego Chargers had been struggling to come up with any fruits of their offensive labor in the first half of their Week 3 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings. Trailing 10-0 with little time remaining in the second quarter, Keenan Allen decided to change that by making two Vikings defensive backs look quite silly in the process.

Allen was streaking down the left sideline and had left cornerback Xavier Rhodes in his dust on the route when Rivers uncorked the pass. However, it was right after Allen hauled in the catch that he made a slide cut that forced Rhodes to collide with safety Andrew Sendejo, who was coming in to try and stop Allen.

The result of two defensive backs taking one another out was, of course, Allen casually waltzing into the end zone. That touchdown also put the Chargers in a much better position heading into the half, trailing by only a field goal.

After a disappointing season last year, Allen has really turned it on early in the 2015 campaign. He’s been productive and, as he showed with Rhodes and Sendejo, is back to making defenders look silly for trying to contain him.
