Le’Veon Bell was back to his old way in his first game back, making huge hurdles over defenders

The Pittsburgh Steelers welcomed Le’Veon Bell back into the lineup for Week 3 after the running back served his two-week suspension. Though DeAngelo Williams was productive in Bell’s absence, having the transcendent talent back on the field adds an entirely different dimension to an already potent offense. Bell showed just why he’s on another level in the first half.

Early in the second quarter, Bell caught a reception heading towards the right sideline and turned to go up field when he saw St. Louis Rams defensive backs closing in. Rather than run over them or try to juke them, Bell decided just to try and hurdle them. By hurdle, I mean Bell looks to jump about 25 feet in the air over Trumaine Johnson:

Bell still went down after the effort to hurdle over the defender, but that doesn’t change the fact that he got higher than it looks like any human should be capable of. Plays like this are just another reason why it’s great to have Bell back on the field, for Steelers fans and fans of good football alike.

Just for good measure, Bell finished the drive with his first rushing touchdown of the season.
